Final Greetings

Final Greetings

Pastor Terrence Young

Two Questions:

1 – How am I ending this year?

2 – How am I starting the next?

Big Idea: My relationship with Christ should reflect my relationship with others.

Three Points:

1 . Rejoice

2 . Restoration

3 . Unity

2 Corinthians 13:11-14
2 Corinthians 13:11a

1 . Rejoice

2 . Restoration

If we really want to love, we must learn how to forgive.

Mother Teressa

Matthew 5:23-24
2 Corinthians 13:11b-13

1 . Rejoice

2 . Restoration

3 . Unity

Be united with other Christians. A wall with loose bricks is not good. The bricks must be cemented together.

Corrie Ten Boom

Romans 12:9-18
2 Corinthians 13:12-13

In other words, our outward demonstrations of affections, such as hug, and handshakes, should be given sincerely as signs that we are a loving family, that we are not holding a grudge, that we are living at peace. If we cannot give sincere greetings, then we need to work to make things right.

Trent Casto

Grace means the favor by which God accepts us, forgiving sins and justifying freely through Christ.

Martin Luther

Big Idea: My relationship with Christ should reflect my relationship with others.

Three Questions:

1 – Who have I not forgiven and what relationship needs to be restored?

2 – Am I united within the Body?

3 – Am I a source of contention or do I exude the peace and love of Jesus?

2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I want to turn away from my sins and place my trust in You as my Lord and Savior. Please receive me now. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus, save the lost and guide the saved.
