Did you know, after Jesus rose from the grave, He appeared to His disciples and many people, speaking about the Kingdom of God for 40 days before ascending into heaven?
Though often overlooked, the Ascension of Christ is filled with theological significance. Christ’s Ascension means that in heaven there is One who, knowing firsthand the experience of suffering and temptation, prays for us and perfects our prayers.
The Ascension is a witness and guarantee of our own bodily resurrection, as well as an invitation for us to set our hearts and minds “on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God” ruling over all things (Col. 3:1-4; Eph. 1:20-23).
Join us on Ascension Thursday for a time of family-style worship through music and singing. Child care will not be available. This is a great gathering for the entire family!
