John 17:6 Isaiah 64:8
If you want to judge how well a person understands Christianity, find out how much he makes of the thought of being God’s child, and having God as his Father. If this is not the thought that prompts and controls his worship and prayers and his whole outlook on life, it means that he does not understand Christianity very well at all.

We belong to a new family in which sin is not ‘the order of the day.’ Instead righteousness, peace, and joy mark the family life of God’s people. We are ‘the kind of people’ who have begun to taste that deliverance from the reign of sin, which will be consummated at the regeneration of all things.

Love of neighbor is not dependent upon the manner of men but looks to God. The Lord commands all human beings without exception “to do good.” Yet the great part of them are most unworthy if they be judged by their own merit. But here Scripture helps in the best way when it teaches that we are not to consider what men merit of themselves but to look upon the image of God in all men, to which we owe all honor and love.

For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God, and where He is there I shall be also!
