The Communications Team is always looking for people who are passionate about helping Grace Point Church communicate our mission to people both inside and outside our church walls.

GP Kids Team
We have many options to volunteer working with 1st – 5th graders on Sunday mornings including:
Room hosts (room management; first impressions; announcements);
Small group leaders
Coaches (works to encourage and help small group leaders);
Large group teachers
Tech team
Room prep volunteers
GP Early Childhood Team
The GP Early Childhood Team works with our littlest ones from ages birth through Kindergarten. There are many important ways to join our Team, including:
Assistant Team Members: These TEEN Leaders support other Team Members and Leaders by having FUN with and keeping the children in their care SAFE.
Nursery Team Member:These adults have FUN with and keep the infants, Toddlers, and Twos in their care SAFE.
Pre-K-K Team Member: These adults keep the PreK-K children in their care SAFE while leading FUN activities that teach young children to LOVE JESUS, too.
Room Leads: These adults connect with families, supporting Team Members and children, and leading prepared Team Huddles.
Area Coaches: These adults encourage Team Members and children, and EQUIP PARENTS. They contact their Team weekly, pray for them, schedule serving teams, and work closely with other Coaches and the Director.
Room Prep Team:These Adults set up classroom environments during the week to ensure the rooms are SAFE and that all needed activities and supplies are prepared for Sunday morning.
Curriculum Editing Team:These Adults work during the week to edit and print the PreK-K and Two’s curriculum for Sunday.
GP Students Ministry Team
GP Students Ministry disciples our middle and high school students.
There are many volunteer options with GP Students Ministry including:
Student Group Mentors: A Student Group Mentor is a spiritually maturing adult assigned to spiritually mentor students. They partner with parents by being a second voice in the discipleship process. They attend 608 and lead a student group. This position requires that you are an active Covenant Partner at GP, or that you are in the process of becoming one.
Adult Youth Leader: An Adult Youth Leader assists with keeping the 608 gathering on Sunday evenings safe, interacts with the students, assists the Student Group Mentors, assists with games, set up and tear down, and attends special events. This position requires that you are an active Covenant Partner at GP, or that you are in the process of becoming one.
Tech Team: Tech teams run sound, pro-presenter, and help make sure that the gathering runs smoothly.
Student Leader/ Intern: A student leader is generally in High School or a recent graduate. They assist with games, set up and tear down, and attend special events. They also help with administrative work assisting the Student Ministry Director.
Grace Point Music Team
Grace Point Music exists to lead and write gospel-centered music to make disciples of Jesus. As a Band Member of Grace Point Music, you will prepare throughout the week to play music during our Sunday Gatherings. All instrumentalists and vocalists are encouraged to audition.
Productions Team
The Productions Team works behind the scenes to create an engaging worship environment. We have volunteer roles in each of the following areas:
Sound
Screens
Graphics
Lighting
Projection
Graphic Arts
Each serving opportunity is trainable. No prior experience is necessary.
Administrative Team
The Administrative Team is responsible for several important roles:
Office Assistant: As an Office Assistant you will be responsible for helping facilitate a smooth-running office by providing administrative support and general clerical support of the church office with the use of Mac, PC, and cloud based programs. Office Assistants generally help out on weekdays during business hours.
Cleaning Team: The Cleaning Team focuses on maintaining neatness and cleanliness of the church buildings during the week, including dusting, sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning bathrooms, window cleaning, emptying trash, and other duties.
Special Events Team
About 12 times per year we host events at our church. The members of this team will assist with set up, usually the day before the event, and help manage the event. There are also opportunities for food preparation, and serving food on the event day. No experience is necessary!
Center Point Team
Center Point is an area where guests can find information about Grace Point Church, purchase books and merchandise, and pick up a free gift on their first and second visits. A friendly demeanor and warm smile are all you need to join the Center Point Team,
Cafe/Coffee Volunteers
The Café is an area where guests can get a hot cup of coffee, compliments of Grace Point Church.Cafe Team members help keep the coffee area stocked, clean, and welcoming to our guests. You may also help make the coffee as needed.
Sunday Morning Greeters
Greeters are the first faces that guests encounter upon arriving at Grace Point Church.We want people to feel welcomed and connected before they even step foot inside the church building. If you have a smile and love people, you will make a great greeter!
Usher Team Volunteers
There are two opportunities to serve on the Usher Team:
Sunday Gathering Usher Team:
The Usher Team helps our guests find a seat for the gathering as well as help during our offering and communion time. A background check is required for this position.
Offering Count Team:
A critical role of Sunday gatherings is to secure and count the offerings that are received. Immediately after an offering is collected, our Offering Count volunteers head to a secure location to process the offering.Individuals who are faithful to resources that God has given entrusted them are good candidates for this team. A background check is required for this position.
Tech Team
Computer Specialist:
Computer specialists ensure that our kiosks and child check-in computers are working properly is crucial to our guests. As a member of this team you will be responsible for ensuring all computer/kiosk stations are connected to the internet, and all associated printers are working properly and stocked with labels.The ability to troubleshoot network issues is a huge plus for this position.
First Time Families Check In
First time family check in is part of the tech team, but no tech experience is necessary.
First Time Guest Registration:
First Time Guest Registration is an area where parents can check their children into the Family Center with age appropriate environments to learn about Jesus. This will allow the parents to worship in the adult gathering without distractions. Once a family is checked into our system and issued a bar code, they will be able to use the self check-in stations on subsequent visits.
Facilities Team
The Facilities Team is responsible for walking the church grounds on Sunday morning to ensure the property is in order for our Sunday gathering. The team is also responsible for ensuring the restrooms are stocked before each gathering. Having an eye for details is key for this position. The Facilities Team tackles small projects on Saturdays to help maintain and keep the buildings and grounds in good condition.
Community Outreach Team
The Community Outreach Team serves our city by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the people within. This may include helping someone move into a new home or serving at a city-wide event. This team is open to anyone – no special skills needed except a desire to love people.
Medic Team
There are very rare occasions when one of our guests may need medical assistance. If that need ever does arise, we need trained medical personnel to be available and accessible to assist those who are injured or become ill during weekend services or at major events.
Security Team
The safety of our guests each week is a top priority. To ensure the safety of our guests, we have volunteers with experience in law enforcement and security to help ensure a safe and secure environment.These volunteers know exactly what to look for and how to handle a variety of situations that may occur. If you have a passion for keeping people safe this may be the perfect place for you.
Prayer Point Team
Many of our guests are in search of healing and Prayer Point is a place where they can come share their struggles and receive prayer. Prayer Point volunteers are available to pray with people at the end of each gathering. You just need to have a listening ear and be able to share the gospel.
Community Group Leaders
Community Group leaders are the backbone of Grace Point Church.Group Leaders help others grow in their relationship with Jesus through the context of a loving relationship. Group Leaders have an amazing opportunity to see Jesus working directly in the lives of people.
