Augustine, great saint of God had lived with a prostitute before his conversion.
After he was wonderfully saved, he was walking down the street and this
prostitute saw him. She shouted his name and he kept walking. He saw her, but kept his eyes straightforward and walked. She continued crying after him and ran after him. And finally, she said, Augustine, it is I. To which he replied, I know, but it is no longer I.

“Martin Luther was a man who was subject to deep, dark depressions, sometimes for several days. Once he was in one of his depressions, and poor Mrs. Luther had just about had it with Martin. She went in, put on her funeral garb, and stood before him. When he lifted up his head, seeing his wife dressed in black, he asked, “What has happened?” She said, “The way you are acting you would think God is dead!” He got the point.”

    This was a great sermon! This really spoke to me! In some ways, my and my husband’s lives are lacking those internal identifiers. We didn’t exactly grow up in church and/or had some negative experiences, but are wanting to make it a part of our lives and tap into our community. We have been living in Las Vegas for a few years now and are looking for a church, and after watching this sermon I think it’s safe to say we will be checking out this one soon!
