The Early Childhood Team
The Early Childhood Team Leaders work with our littlest ones from ages birth through Kindergarten. There are many important ways to join our Team, including:
Serving won’t save us, yet we are saved to serve. The gospel transform people’s lives, so that they eventually perform good deeds. Jesus was our great example in Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”. Grace Point Church loves our city. We do this by reflecting HIS love through an act of service to a hurting world that needs him. We serve our city by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the people within.
Mission: Vegas serving opportunities will be announced at Sunday Gatherings and via email as well as through Community Groups.
Community Group leaders are the backbone of Grace Point Church. Group Leaders help others grow in their relationship with Jesus through the context of a loving relationship. Group Leaders have an amazing opportunity to see Jesus working directly in the lives of people.
There are no perfect people that attend Grace Point Church. Many of our guests are in search of healing and Prayer Point is a place where they can come share their struggles and receive prayer. Having a listening ear and being able to share the gospel can literally be life changing to people.
The safety of our guests each week is a top priority. To ensure the safety of our guests, we have volunteers who have experience in law enforcement and security to help ensure a safe and secure environment. These volunteers know exactly what to look for and how to handle a variety of situations that may occur. If you have a passion for keeping people safe this may be the perfect place for you.
There are very rare occasions when one of our guests may need medical assistance. If that need ever does arise, we need trained medical personnel to be available and accessible to assist those who are injured or become ill during weekend services or at major events.
The Facilities Team is responsible for walking the church grounds on Sunday morning to ensure the property is in order for our Sunday gathering. The team is also responsible for ensuring the restrooms are stocked before each gathering. Having an eye for details is key for this position. The Facilities Team tackles small projects on Saturdays to help maintain and keep the buildings and grounds in good condition.
First time family check in is part of the tech team, but no tech experience is necessary.
First Time Guest Registration:
First Time Guest Registration is an area where parents can check their children into the Family Center with age appropriate environments to learn about Jesus. This will allow the parents to worship in the adult gathering without distractions. Once a family is checked into our system and issued a bar code, they will be able to use the self check-in stations on subsequent visits.
Computer specialists ensure that our kiosks and child check-in computers are working properly is crucial to our guests. As a member of this team you will be responsible for ensuring all computer/kiosk stations are connected to the internet, and all associated printers are working properly and stocked with labels. The ability to troubleshoot network issues is a huge plus for this position.
There are two opportunities to serve on the Usher Team:
Sunday Gathering Usher Team:
The usher team is the “first impressions team” inside the Gathering Center. We want to continue to engage our guests once they head inside to worship. Helping our guests find a seat is yet another personalized touch that can have a huge impact. In addition to seating our guests, the usher team has the privilege to receive offerings of God’s people and to facilitate the Lord’s Supper. What an honor to be part of our guests’ worship to the Lord. A background check is required for this position.
Offering Count Team:
A critical role of Sunday gatherings is to secure and count the offerings that are received. Immediately after an offering is collected, our Offering Count volunteers will head to a secure location to process the offering. Individuals who are faithful with resources that God has given entrusted them are good candidates for this team. A background check is required for this position.
Greeters are the first faces that guests will encounter upon arriving at Grace Point. We want people to feel welcomed and possibly get connected before they even step foot inside of the church. We have several greeter positions available on Sunday morning all with the same purpose: to engage with people and show the love of Christ.
Café is an area where all guests are welcomed to come get a hot cup of coffee, compliments of Grace Point. Being hospitable to our guests will create an environment that is welcoming to all. Volunteers will help keep the coffee area stocked, clean and welcoming to our guests. You may also help make the coffee as needed.
Center Point is an area where guests can receive information and also a place of connection with our 1st and 2nd time guests. Guests receive a free gift as our way of saying thank you for your visit. Regular attenders may also visit Center Point to purchase merchandise such as tumblers, books, or journals. A friendly demeanor and warm smile will make your guests feel welcomed at Grace Point Church.
About 12 times per year we host events at our church. The members of this team will assist with set up, usually the day before the event, and help manage the event.
There are also opportunities for food preparation, and serving food on the event day.
